On Sunday evening, December 4, 2022, Sheriff's deputies responded southwest of Bristow on a suspicious person complaint. The description of the suspicious person matched that of a suspect involved in a stolen vehicle pursuit with the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office the day before. 

Creek County deputies deployed a drone and were able to locate the suspicious person. The drone team directed the K-9 team to David Needham, 43, of Springdale, Arkansas. Needham was arrested for Possession of a Stolen Vehicle and Obstruction. The stolen vehicle was also recovered by Creek County deputies.

Needham has an extensive criminal record out of Arkansas, Minnesota, and Texas including Aggravated Robbery, Assault with a Dangerous Weapon, Burglary, Theft of Property, Illegal Possession of a Firearm, Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, and Fugitive from Justice.

The Sheriff's Office would like to thank the citizens who called in and reported the suspicious activity. Cooperation between law enforcement and the community is critical in maintaining public safety.
