Bristow Man Arrested for Burglary While Out on Drug Charges

(Bristow Ok.) Creek County Deputies took Cameron Lee Stubblefield, 26, into custody after burglarizing a residence in Slick late Monday night.

Stubblefield, who was out on a reduced bond for a previous Aggravated Drug Trafficking charge in September, was taken into custody after a six-hour search by multiple agencies, K-9 and drones.

At approximately 1:59 p.m. December 26, just one day after Christmas, a Slick resident reported that Stubblefield fled from his home with several firearms after being surprised by an employee of the victim. Deputies, along with other agencies, searched the woods and side roads for the suspect. Around 8:30 p.m., an off-duty volunteer firefighter reported following a suspicious vehicle from the area. Bristow Officers contacted the car inside the city where Stubblefield ran from the car but was apprehended about one block away. Deputies took him into custody but did not find any weapons from the burglary on Stubblefield. The Creek County Sheriff's Office is continuing this investigation with the Muscogee Lighthorse Police.

Stubblefield worked a few years as a police officer at other agencies but resigned prior to his arrest for Aggravated Drug Trafficking and other charges by Bristow Police in September 2022. Court records show that Stubblefield's bond was reduced from over $100,000.00 to just over $25,000.00 in September. Records show that conference for those charges is scheduled for February 10, 2023. Stubblefield is also a person of interest in another case of guns being stolen from a residence near Bristow earlier this month.

Stubblefield's bond was set at $120,000.

This is an arrest, not a conviction.
